What is the Raised Floor System?

Raised Floor System (RFS) consists of load-bearing floor panels supported by height-adjustable feet to provide a space between the reinforced concrete floor and the floor used for the preservation, distribution and subsequent intervention of electrical and mechanical installations. Floor panels can be easily removed for quick access to underfloor services.

Are there any alternatives to the Raised Floor System?

Instead of Raised Floor Systems, you can think of suspended ceilings from the ceiling, special skirtings with cable channels or special production furniture at the bottom of the wall, but these are not flexible and easy to intervene as RFS. It does not have the same long life as a raised floor.

What structural requirements do I need to consider when choosing a Raised Floor System?

The versatile nature of the raised floor system means that it can be used in many different scenarios, it can be reinforced with additional straps and struts on the floor in large data and telecommunication rooms with heavy equipment. Lighter commercial office, IT, server, electricity, etc. In applications such as places, the desired space can be provided under the floor with a standard foot set.

How to choose the Raised Floor panel top coating?

Raised floor panels can be produced by adhering to surfaces during production, including heterogeneous-homogeneous and conductive vinyl, HPL Laminate, porcelain, stone, ceramic and solid wood coatings in various colors and patterns, depending on the characteristics of the location where it will be used. After the raised floor is laid, coatings such as carpet tiles, PVC tiles, LVT can be made freely on the floor in various colors and patterns according to the customer’s request, generally in office and commercial areas.

Do we need to know anything else technically?

Apart from the standard building regulations covering the renovation works of the buildings and offices to be furnished, there is no need for any other information.

How long does it take to lay flooring?

There will be a production time depending on whether the selected material is stocked or not. If the standard stocked product is preferred, it can be started immediately. Also, the raised floor may differ for each project according to the size and shape of the area where it will be laid, the existing conditions of the building and the existing flooring and the technical specifications of the project. With the state of existing offices and large open spaces, raised flooring can be installed fairly quickly and with little or no preparatory work. After installation, the customer can return to their office and start working within 24 hours.

Does anything need to be done before the Raised Floor is installed?

All that is required is that the floor on which raised flooring will be installed must be clean and dry and the mechanical and electrical installation to be made under it must be completed.

Are there any special maintenance requirements after installation?

Post-installation raised floor system is guaranteed against manufacturing and assembly faults. It requires little or no maintenance compared to the top coating material. The most common problems arise when untrained people remove floor panels without proper tools and replace panels incorrectly.
